“Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred, and you are that temple.” (1 Cor. 3:16-17)
Many years ago, we had a family trip to England. And whenever I walk cross the street I was confused whether I should look at the right side first or left side first. If I look at left side first and cross the street, I might get hit by a car. Their traffic laws were different from our traffic laws in America. Likewise God has His own law. He clearly tells us that we are obligated to keep our body sacred. We need to detox our body and mind regularly. There are many detox programs these days but the simplest way is drinking lemon water every morning. I start my day with God’s Words and lemon water. I need to detox my body and spirit every morning. As the Bible said I’m God’s temple and God’s Spirit lives in me. When I wake up in the morning 30 minutes before breakfast, I just squeeze a half of lemon in a cup of warm water and drink. Sometimes I add a tablespoon of honey too. Simple but powerful if you do it everyday. I believe lemon was one of the divine powerful fruits in the Garden of Eden. Lemon comes with infection-fighting vitamin C, as well as thiamine, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, iron, magnesium, fiber, lots of B vitamins, calcium, potassium, copper, folate, and potassium. Lemon helps to clean the system, to boost immune system, to lose weight, to cure problems related to indigestion and constipation, and also drinking lemon juice mixed with water and honey brings a healthy glow to the skin.
God gave us food not only to fill our hunger but to heal our body. I believe that food is medicine from God. Nourish your body with vitamins and minerals and it will give you a power throughout the day.
New sky, new clouds, new body, new thoughts, new life..and…new spirit…
Even God said in Psalm,
“Forget the formal things; Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? Do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!”
Let’s do something new to please God today!
