This will be another way of using the homemade barbecue sauce that I posted the recipe for yesterday. Again, I baked the chicken wings instead than grilling them since grilling can lead to more health problems than baking (as mentioned in my last post). Adding a salad or vegetable tray can make for a perfect and easy weekend dinner.
Lime Chicken Wings with Homemade Barbecue Sauce
20 organic chicken wings
1/2 cup olive oil
1 lime zest
2 tablespoons garlic, chopped
salt, pepper
Rinse the chicken wings in running water and dry them with a paper towel. Trim the fat and marinate the wings with olive oil, lime zest, chopped garlic, pink salt, and pepper for at least one hour. It’s better to marinate them over night.
Preheat the oven to 400 F. On a baking sheet, place the chicken wings and bake them for about 15 minutes.
I just place the chicken wings on a plate, but you can mix chicken wings with homemade barbecue sauce, or…
You can dip them in the sauce..
Have a healthy and happy summer!
