Fruits are good for you. However, most of fruits have high fructose, so I try not to eat too much fruits. But not all fruits are loaded with fructose. Avocados are one of the best fruits you can find. It is very high in essential vitamins and minerals, and it also has more potassium than banana. It provides you with healthy fat that can help keep your cholesterol level in normal range. I love buttery texture and flavor in my dips, salads and sandwiches.
Theses days I enjoy avocado smoothie after exercise. I make it with frozen pineapple chunks and coconut water which enhances the flavor even more. I really like a smooth creamy feel and taste, and the green color refreshes me.
Avocado Pineapple Smoothie
1 ripe avocado, halves and pitted
2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
2 cups coconut water
2 tablespoons raw or Manuka honey
pinch of pink salt
Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
