So tell them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very thing I heard you say.’ (Numbers 14:28)
God made the heavens and the earth with His words; this is the power that words have. In fact, the Bible teaches us that the tongue has more power than life and death themselves. So, what should we say with our tongue?
We should express gratitude. Galatians 6:7 states, “a man reaps what he sows.” The more gratitude we sow each day the more rewards we will have to reap later. Never stop thanking Him, even if life gets tough, because He will do to us the very things He heard us say.
From the fruit of their mouth a person’s stomach is filled; with the harvest of their lips they are satisfied. The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. (Proverbs 18:20-21)
