Natural Air Freshener

When my son went to college, I thought I would eat out a lot. That was the notion I had for empty nesters. But I realize that my passion for life is cooking. So I still cook almost everyday and my house always smells yummy. Although the smell makes my house lively, there are foods that taste really delicious but make the whole house smell pretty interesting. Wait, did we eat that food?

There are many different kinds of air fresheners out there but we are not fond of the chemicals and strong fumes they often contain. I’ve seen people using fresh and dried herbs for their homes. So I used herbs from my herb garden.

You can use any herbs you like. I used whatever is available : peppermint, french thyme, and rosemary.

Slice a lemon or lime, and put it in a glass or a mason jar with herbs. Add some vanilla extract.

Pour some hot water.

That’s it!

I think this is the most natural way to make an air freshener. It will make your home smell yummier.
