Chicken Patties with Sesame Sauce

Although I’m not a huge fan of chicken breast, these chicken patties with sesame sauce are amazing.

Sesame sauce wins every time!

CHICKEN PATTIES with Sesame Sauce

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil (divided)
  • 1.5 lbs ground chicken breast
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks green onions, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Pink salt and black pepper

Sesame Sauce

  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • Pink salt

  1. Heat canola oil in a medium saute pan. Add the onions, salt, and pepper and cook over medium-low heat for 8 to 10 minutes, until the onions are translucent but not brown.  Allow to cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients and mix lightly with a fork.
  3. Form the mixture into six chicken patties.
  4. Heat canola oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook patties until golden and cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.
  5. Make the sesame sauce by mixing all the ingredients in a medium bowl.
  6. Serve immediately with sesame dressing.
